HISTORY AND BRAND INFLUENCES

I was born into a surfboard making family, my dad worked with Midget Farrelly for years before going out on his own, gutting a school bus and turning it into a surfboard factory on wheels, traveling from surf spot to surf spot, shaping boards and surfing until he arrived in torquay where Rip Curl and Quicksilver had just started, so he set up a glassing shop here in torquay. I started shaping boards at the age of 13 and really it's all I have been doing ever since.

Everything from the everyday surfer to the pro surfer, as well as things like music, planes, cars, an image I see!! Everything influences me in some way, there is so much to be learnt from it all.

CURRENTLY RIDING

My favorite boards to ride are twin fins, but I ride a mixture of everything, from long to short, PU foam to eps/ epoxy, dialed down boards to performance, I love it all, there are too many different feeling to get out of boards to stay riding the same thing for too long, I'm always working on new thoughts and designs, so I mix it up a fair bit.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO SURF?

My favorite place to surf is around home here (bells, winkipop). They are both world class incredible waves that I have the privilege to have right here at home. They are the perfect proving ground for my boards.
