Natalie Nicole Wessels
Style and grace comes to mind when Natalie’s name comes up. Raised in San Juan Capistrano, home to some of SoCal’s most influential surfers, she grew up slightly removed from the beach on a 1 acre ranch with a barn and horses roaming the property.
Even though she was surrounded by farm life, Natalie still found her way to the white sandy beaches of Orange County regularly.
In her early teens, on a trip to Hawaii, Natalie tried surfing for the first time and that ultimately became a dominating factor throughout her life. Natalie’s mom would drop her off at Doheny beach frequently where she continued feeding her newfound passion and also met her future husband and all-round surf guy, JJ Wessels.

At this point in her life, Natalie draws inspiration from her husband and son, with whom she spends most of her time beach bound. They typically hang out and surf daily unless conditions don’t allow, in which case they seek other outdoor activities to keep up the stoke.
Natalie’s favorite kind of waves are point breaks, or anywhere you can ride a longboard or mid-length are preferred. Her favorite spots she has traveled to are Canada and Mexico, places she carries near to her heart and where she’s made long lasting friendships with both people and the ocean.
Today, Natalie still lives in San Juan Capistrano on half an acre of land. She likes the tranquility of being able to garden in her spare time, yet near enough the water to surf whenever she wants too. She feels blessed to be able to live the life she has with her family and enjoying Gods creation.
